If you have additional information (ex: specificity of piloting, various characteristics...) on the hang glider Cirrus by Electra Flyer, you can supplement his card by adding your comment or write to us :
The early models could be set up for either seated or prone.
I flew mine seated for while before I bought a prone harness.
It was one of the first gliders with battens. They were made of flexible plastic strips, and kept the sail from flapping.

For the history buffs out there, I flew the first production Cirrus that Larry put together as one of his crash test dummies at Sea World San Diego. I short landed it and wound up in the water of Mission Bay, almost drowned, bcouldn't wait to get it in the air!! It was a beautiful wing and I used it in the show for the next couple of years. Last time I was in contact with Larry was a post card he sent me from France complaining about the fact that Maxie and Ben were pissed about his hanglider still hooked up on the bottom of the balloon, which he had intended to fly into France after the Atlantic crossing. Larry was ahead of the Moyes boys, Bennett and anybody else in the game at the time as far as hanglider design and performance. I'm not surprised that they are still in the air today.
