Français	Mon mentor/moniteur en 1976 construisait lui même un ICARUS 5 ramené en kit des états unis. Au bout de quelques années, il a hésité à décoller à pieds avec et a entrepris de le motoriser.La veille du jour du 1er vol, le hangar où il était entreposé à brûlé ! Deltaplane : Dilit
Français	Oui le DILIT a été conçu avec l'aide de Michel Katzman qui avait déjà fait le Domino. Le DILIT reprenait la formule des lattes qui restaient dans l'aile au pliage ce qui faisait gagner du temps au montage pour les pilotes pro. English	I ve been flying for 18 nd teaching for 12 years or more but i havent got such a good glider.Very easy handling, no matter your weight at all.Gives you confidence and fun indeed. Low stall and crousing speed and it flies so calmly. Very good for teaching. I thought that i will make a copy using new materials.

Français	La Manta Danis fut également ma première machine volante et l'angle de nez était de 90° Interdiction de faire des 360° sinon on partait en drapeau ! Français	j'ai possédé un Démon, jaune bouton d'or !!! c'est vrai assez lourd à l'époque, mais quand je compare maintenant avec mon laminar st sans mat, ce dernier fait quand méme pas mal de kg en plus. Par rapport au dernier commentaire, je n'ai jamais eu de problème pour le poser, peut etre un centrage différent. J'ai utilisé beaucoup le démon en treuillé sans soucis, avec pour la petite histoire un larguage à 1800 M oui vous lisez bien en région parisienne (il y a + de 20 ans) donc, une aile qui ne m'a jamais inquiété. English	Okay, I didn't read carefully enough but I can add some information to this entry. Built in summer 1971 as I said by Dick Eipper, Ken Seinmetz, and Chris Parker out of bamboo, visquine (a heavy polyethelene sheeting) and plastic coated clothes line...materials purchased by Dick. Another freind of ours whose name escapes me now had built one and was flying it off these same sand cliffs. We named ours the "Bamboo Bomber". These sand cliffs were quite close to the water's edge at Torrance Beach in Southern California and the water was our objective although we rarely made it that far. Smaller bodies sometimes did. It had no battens but surely needed them as the trailing edge flapped alot and made quite a noise. We didn't think of it. There were also a few quite spectacular crashes, Steve Wilson, being one of them. I remember him coming up with torn Levis, scrapes and bruises, and a face full of sand. Of course that's why we chose that spot it had all the right characteristics.....soft, or relatively so, landing area and good onshore winds. Steve, by the way, was undaunted by his crash and went on to help found Eipperformance and become quite a good pilot. So, I have to leave this post to return to the page to see what other info I can give you.

English	Hi y'all.....my name is Chris Parker and I helped Dick build that glider along with Ken Steinmetz. Steve Wilson was actually a partner in the subsequent company handling more or less the business end of things. Not to take anything away from Dick because he was surly there but I do think that is me flying in that photo. Who was the photographer I'm wondering? I'd like to see more of these photos. This glider was made with bamboo, visquine, and plastic coated clothesline. Year is 1971, summer. Last poster C Muhonen...Cathy's older brother?
