I owned a large Hiway spectrum from 1978 thru 1981 and logged over 1000 hours airtime. Easy to handle although it had a reputation for tip-stalling.
I think I paid less than 500 pounds for it. What a bargain.

the Hiway Spectrum was my first hang glider, back in 1979; it was good and easy. I had no comparison, at that time, but I found it safe enough to survive those hang gliding pioneer times... ahah

I had a couple for my Hang Gliding School (Northern HG School) but the tendency to tip stall made me withdraw them. It was a real danger in too-slow turns.
