11/09/2003 | Very light handling glider, very easy to land but good performance.
Some can tend to yaw but you get used to it after a while.
For pilots with 50hrs+

bsk 03/10/2003 | Very hard for landing, for expiriece pilot only
|
24/11/2003 | I found this to be a very nice, easy-to-fly hangglider, though definitely 'advanced'. Very easy to land, in my experience.
Wing-wires are not too slack, so she handles well on take-off.

10/06/2004 | [Translation of the original French comment] This wing is performant, beautiful and very pleasant to fly. Not very good at hight speed but there is no problem for aerotowing. Very easy to land, this wing is also pleasant in thermals.
But this wing is unusual,so it is almost impossible to find parts.

09/07/2004 | Fantastic glider. High performance but glide not the same as the new modern gliders. Cork screws in a thermal with a bicycle turn. Yet has near perfect landings. I usually land with one or two steps. Large flare window. It does tend to have roll control problems if not set properly. Other wise very light on the controll.

Bart Doets 27/09/2004 | [Translation of the original French comment] The Kiss and the Magic Kiss are the same hang glider.

31/10/2004 | The Magic Kiss is a wonderful glider to fly, excellent performance especially in light thermal conditions, maneuverable almost to the point of instability, a real glider for real pilots. Flying this glider is the most fun I’ve ever had in the air but it is definitely not suitable for beginners. It is a very “yawy” wing requiring a light touch and “active flying” to keep it under control.
Pilots transitioning from stiffer wings may have a tendency to PIO or even dutch-roll especially at higher speeds.

22/08/2005 | Yep sweet glider great handling but if you want to stuff the bar for speed the contempory Rumours had no yaw probs (but were stiff in roll)
|
29/11/2005 | One of my favorite hang gliders. very well coordinated pitch/roll. Tends to wind in a little when circling but easy to counter. good landing characteristics.
|
01/04/2006 | Yes good glider. Sensitive nice thermaling.
On the other hand:
I wonder if someone ever tried towing.... :-)
In my opinion a clear example of a glider not suitable for towing.
|

25/08/2006 | Have flown a Kiss for 15 years. Currently also fly a WW Fusion. I platform towed the Kiss for many years and found it to climb out strongly with no control problems. I routinely aerotow the Kiss with no problems, but if new to aerotowing, recommend flying with a tail for the first few flights, otherwise overcontrol will occur. The glider is simply sensitive. Never fly without the nose cone - the glider will become divergent at speed.

Martynas Makelis 02/10/2006 | Very nice wing, I have been flying for about 2 years now only towing with winch. No problems at all.

24/01/2007 | My last, though not favorite glider. I flew my Kiss in '98 and '99 and only logged about 20 hours. I'd been out of flying for a few years so it probably wasn't the best glider to get back into it again. Thermalling the Kiss was straightforward but not as enjoyable as on my Magic IV 155FR. Glide was good up until you reached high speed. The Kiss then tended to yaw from side to side. Not disconcertainly so, but enough to require constant corrections, though you did automatically begin correcting for the yaw. Roll inputs were fairly light though it wasn't as easy as my MagicIV to coordinate in turns. I think the Kiss required more push out or it would tend to slip into the turn. I never really mastered the correct landing technique finding the Kiss to climb rapidly and drop if flared too early, or to nose in if you flared with not enough speed on. My biggest beef with the glider was the amount of effort required to pull back and hook in the crosstube tensioning cable. I'm no weakling and I remember cursing the glider on several occasions when I couldn't hook the cable in!

25/04/2007 | I need the "Kiss" manual. Where can I get it?
|
03/12/2007 | [Translation of the original French comment] It is the most fantastic glider I have ever owned. Great all over, very strong. I have only broken one upright / downtube over a 15 year period. I would buy a new one tomorrow if it were still manufactured.

31/03/2010 | The best glider I have ever owner. Flew it for six years 89-95. Took a few flights to dial into its different handling, but I felt very confident with it and found its type of handling superb. Landing a snap, I don't think I ever dropped it. Never replaced an upright anyway. Those were the days.

14/08/2011 | Quisiera agradecerles si mi puede decir si el ala delta magi kiss se puede motorizar a trike. ya que estoy construccion de uno.

19/03/2012 | Hey, we have new magic kiss sail and a frame of airwave magic or so, and want to put the sail on the frame, so we need blueprints or construction plans of airwave magic kiss.So maybe you know where i can get exact plans of this hang glider?Answer to my email, i will be very thankful.
