If you have additional information (ex: specificity of piloting, various characteristics...) on the hang glider New Wave by Firebird Sky Sport AG, you can supplement his card by adding your comment or write to us :
The New Wave was launched by Firebird at the end of 1988. It was supposed to be Firebird's answer to the Sensor, Kiss, HP and the rest of the high performance gliders at this time.
It is an edge bow glider with VG, which had 16 sqm in the first version, and was slightly facelifted a few months later to 15sqm.
In keeping with the spirit of the times, the device was primarily designed for performance, which was then, however, rather average compared to the competitors.
The handling is quite tough and indifferent, and the VG doesn't change that much.
The New Wave, with its relatively large aspect ratio, is still beautiful to look at today, but due to its handling it is not suitable for beginners.
